Perceptions of colors: Who am I?

“Who am I?
Who is this person looking back at me in the mirror?”

Unequivocally that may be the biggest question in life.  We may spend our entire life trying to understand and ascertain some grasp on that.   What I have come to realize is that one need only look at the world around you to know who you truly are.

The world we live in is neutral,  benign by nature.  It is an environment, a platform from which  we are able to express ourselves.
Two people may be standing on a deserted, unknown beach somewhere. Naked, with no possessions; watching the most beautiful sunset.  One manically depressive and the other overcome by joy and awe.

In this example the physical manifestation is exactly the same for both. The sunset in all its incredible beauty is neutral.  It is the window, the perception through which we experience the world that moves us.

we are blinded

It is once we expand our awareness and become conscious of exactly who we are aware that we start to know ourselves.
Reread that last sentence again, confusing as it may sound.

Each of us sees the world in a color palette defined by who we are inside.  That which is defined by our upbringing, culture, experiences, emotions, thoughts ect.  Not even to mention past lifetimes, karma and contracts.  Combine all of this and you are presented with a spectrum of ‘colors’ unique to you and your experience.

These are the colors you see and experience in the world, with which you paint your existence.  Each of them unique to you.
We all carry our own palette , seeing the world in colors purely pertaining to us.  What I see may most certainly now be the same as you.  Even then: Do you see, feel or think? Each unique in its own right.

Almost all of us see in colors that do not necessarily exist for others.  Therefor, when we can become conscious of the colors in our field, and the infinitesimal others available in an unending array do we become more conscious of who WE are.

From this point we may want to add colors to our palette – expanding the spectrum of colors available to us.  Through the realization comes the acquisition of self, understanding of others and the complexity inherent to being ‘human’.
Comparing your colors to others leads to a deeper understanding of self.  The contrast highlights the difference in color palettes, consequently emotions/thoughts/feelings/experiences and even then, there is still no true comparison. Each color is infused with all of the aforementioned, so even if they look and feel similar, they are not.

Through this awareness, we grow.  Our perception (colors) expands.  We become more conscious of the colors in the existence we find ourselves in.  The world, in its neutral state has not change.

We did!

The vibrancy we perceive has merely been enhanced with exponentially perceptive realizations. This in turn producing higher states of consciousness, awareness, perception and most importantly – bliss if so we chose.  You can acknowledge and perceive the perception that others have on life, thus allowing for greater compassion to others.
That water you are allowing to spill down the drain is liquid gold to others living in the desert.  Perspective of perception.

From this point, we can love anyone and anything.  You are conscious that if an external manifestation is resulting in heavy emotional vibrational energy that there is an internal friction.

To be conscious of the perfection in the destruction, chaos and mayhem.  Recently I was driving through very polluted rural villages in Bali.  Even though my eyes could see the ‘darkness’, my heart felt the love, light and perfection infused in all.

The color of compassion and wisdom is ingrained enough to my perception that I could feel and perceive past the external.  Everything is always in its highest state of perfection, no matter what.

Take a moment – become conscious of the contrast in your experience to others.  Allow your perception to evolve and grow – all the while you deepen in the truth of who you are.  Perfection.
